The elemental frameworks include a Microsoft Excel Add-in to support elegant, layered and patterned architecture of your data workloads on Azure.  This enables rapid development of enterprise class solutions that scale.

The Add-in provides tools and techniques to configure workloads directly in Excel sheets, and one-click deployments to the elemental metadata store. 

 

Additional utilities automate repetitive tasks associated with modeling, mapping, documentation and Power BI report building.

Parameterization & Metadata Repository

By leveraging parameterized workload resources, such as Azure Databricks or Synapse notebooks, or Azure Data Factory pipelines, with a metadata configuration repository, teams can rapidly configure and iterate workloads using our Excel Add-in. This approach decreases build and maintenance times significantly.

Parametrizing activities reduces the complexity and time associated with creating, maintaining and enhancing workloads.  For example, one dataflow pipeline per source (e.g. SalesForce) can be reused for all source object (tables, parquet files, etc.) activities, as opposed to one per object. 

 

This results in ELTs with single-digit pipeline counts versus dozens or even hundreds of dedicated pipelines, or single entry-points for multiple notebook executions in Azure Databricks or Synapse.
